As a Graduate Teaching Assistant for ECON 2005, I have diligently monitored and assisted in classroom activities, collaborating closely with the professor to ensure a cohesive educational experience. My responsibilities extend beyond traditional support; I also conduct classes independently whenever the professor attends conferences. Additionally, I maintain regular office hours at the Economics Tutor Center, where I provide tailored support to students, helping them grasp complex course concepts and prepare for exams. I have organized numerous study sessions aimed at reinforcing fundamental economics principles. This role has substantially enhanced my pedagogical skills and equipped me with vital leadership and communication abilities, which will be instrumental in my future academic and professional pursuits.

Undergraduate Teacher Assistant

FYE SS: Pathway in Economics, Fall 2022

In Fall 2022, I had the privilege of serving as a peer mentor for the Pathway in Economics class at Virginia Tech. As a peer mentor, I worked closely with my professor to grade assignments, prepare presentations, and ensure that all assignment deadlines were met. In addition, I led discussions with students on assignment issues and was responsible for conducting online class meetings on the Zoom platform. Through my role as a peer mentor, I gained valuable leadership and communication skills while also helping to guide and support students in their academic pursuits. This experience has been instrumental in shaping my professional goals and has allowed me to develop skills that will be invaluable in my future academic and professional endeavors.

I have gained valuable working experience in various roles, including my involvement in the Economics Club at Virginia Tech and my position as a Chief Operating Officer Assistant at CrossCity Culture Advertising Media Co., Ltd in Shen Zhen. As a co-founder of the Economics Club, I have been responsible for managing the club's TikTok account and promoting events and activities, which has allowed me to develop my social media and marketing skills. I have also assisted with the shooting of the club's events, which has given me valuable experience in event planning and coordination. Additionally, as a Chief Operating Officer Assistant, I have been responsible for coordinating internal and external communications and providing administrative support to the COO, which has allowed me to develop my organizational, communication, and administrative skills. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping my professional goals and have provided me with valuable practical experience that will be invaluable in my future academic and professional endeavors.
